Happy New Year!!
I spent the last night of 2011 playing with ATC's. I had this idea to use old magazine pages rather than throwing them all away. I cut out the brightest most colorful pictures I could find, cut them down to ATC size (2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches) then sewed them to several more pages to thicken them up. I was at it for quite a while-but doing it while watching movies made it go better. I'm finishing them up today , and hope to start using them to just slather some paint, glob some glue, and generally just have fun with them. I like that they have the colorful background all ready to get started. Now, off to play!

Hooray for a creative New Year! I was making B&W zentangle ATCs while everyone else was drinking. (The perks of being the designated driver!) Had drunk people ask me, "What are you making?" Me: "Artist Trading Cards" Them: "What do you do with them?" Me: "Trade them with other artists at the Milwaukee Artist Trading Card group!" (At this point their eyes glaze over and they wander off ;o) Happy New Year, Kathi!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea! I used to love doing ATC swaps, so fun! Do you have a particular theme you are working on, or is this creative brainstorming-play?
