The rugs are pretty but good golly, I'm loving the bags. I just got home from our Weaver's Guild Show and Tell night and I fell in love with all the woven bags.Loving your projects!
Oh yeah, those bags are awesome! Ooooh that means you are a "carpetbagger!"
Those are great bags! What is their size?
Cute, cute, cute bags!! What about a wider version with a long strap like a messenger bag?
Hi - regarding my spring rose crochet and other flowers recently, I put them together on stems and made my mother a late mother's day crochet floral bouquet. It turned out great! I hope to have the photos of that up Monday or Tuesday...waiting for her to receive it! Thanks for stopping by my blog - new follower to yours! P.S. Fantastic bags! I love that you took a great rug and made something else entirely new out of it. Wow!
Thanks all--@Spinster Beth-too funny-but I'm thinking I'll use that for the new name of my bags-@AllyB-the size is about 13"x15". @Heather Woollove-good idea on the messenger bags-I"ve got loads of other ideas-not enough time.
Oooo, that's a great idea. I like those bags a lot.
I, too love making rugs ... and bags, and those bags are awesome! Great alternatives to the grocery bags one can buy that are reusable but not washable. Love, love, love them.
For a newbie weaver, what reed did you use and what would you recommend for the warp?I like the idea of making rag bags and I have cut up rags, just a little stumped on the above. Thanks for your help.Esther
Do you hand sew these bags or sew on a sewing machine?
