Well, I got them done-and they turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself. The hide was very thin and fragile, I had to work very carefully. I can't wait for my friends to see them.
I have a question about drum carders--does any one out there have a newer Louet Jr-or know anyone that has one? I'm trying to find out why the teeth on the carder don't mesh-is this something new? I know the older models do. I've e-mailed the company, but they haven't gotten back to me yet. Mine works, somewhat, but I'm curious about those teeth. Any help would be great. Thanks.

  1. Hi Kathi, thanks for the comment on my blog, love your bears...what hide did you use? We are near Calgary in Alberta, Canada and I was not ready for the snow and it being so cold already, if it stays it is going to be a long winter!!

  3. In from Fiber Arts Friday..better late than never, eh?

The bears are very cute! About your Louet carder question. My carder (Roving Carder) has the same thing. I just assumed this is a new design..of course, I did work on it a little to make it work better but my solution has been to list it on Fiber Finds to sell. Wish I could help. - MaLinda
